Why We're Reaching Out
At the Lighthouse, in addition to mending broken lives and trying to unite families, we strive to hold a high standard in our Christian school and provide the best education we can for our girls.
Without at least a high school education, most young people today will struggle to find work once they reach adulthood. The Lighthouse is 100% committed to providing an excellent education for our girls, helping them stay on track (or get back on track) to graduate high school.
And that’s why we started this fundraiser.
We need your help to keep our school functional and up-to-date.
Right now, our students are working on computers that are over 10 years old, at workstations that are over 20 years old. Some of the equipment is simply obsolete, and will not work at all, which puts pressure on our students and staff.
Give the Gift of a Good Education
This Christmas season, we are trying to raise funds for a “School Refresh Christmas Project.” We think it would be a fantastic Christmas gift for our girls to come back to an updated, fully-functional classroom when they return to the Lighthouse from Christmas break!
However, as you all know, we don’t receive any state or federal funding. The Lighthouse Children’s Home is powered by two things: prayer, and donations from our friends and supporters! So we are asking all of you to be a partner, and come along beside us to make this possible. Our goal is to raise $100,000.00 dollars by the end of November. Here are just a few examples of how that could work:
If we had ________________________________ we would be able to fully update and refresh our school:
100 people (or churches, or groups) give $1000
200 people (or churches, or groups) give $500
400 people (or churches, or groups) give $250
1000 people (or churches, or groups) give $100
Could you, your church, or your organization be one of those supporters? All donations are tax-deductible, and would help so much in giving a young lady a second chance in life.
Together, we can make a difference in a child’s life!
